In the summer of 1986 the novolesi scouts took part in the first gathering of Mediterranean scouts in the Nebrodi Mountains in Sicily in the month of July and in the Rangers and Rovers’ Second National Route with Rovers in August.

In 1987 the Explorers took part in the British Scouts and Guides National Camp at Norwich, in the north of London and in 1998 at Sherwood where there was the Robin Hood Camp.

In the summer of 1990 the Explorers and Rovers went to Finland for FinJamboree, an international camp organized by Finnish scouts, where there were about 15,000 scouts coming from around the world.

In 1991 the group joined in the great international solidarity operation organized by UNESCO in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Soviet Union: Chernobyl Children Operation.

From 10th July to 10th August the novolesi scouts gave shelter to a group of 11 children, coming from Chernobyl and affected by radiation owing to the burst of nuclear power station. During their stay the Soviets boys also took part in the group summer camp organized in Tuscany, on the Amiata Mountain.

After the participation in the Danish scouts International camp on Thuro Island, in Denmark in 1992, the novolesi Rovers went for a hike on the Pyrenees and attended upon sick people at Lourdes in the next year. The Rovers group from Campi Salentina and Foggia joined in the activity organized by the novolese group.
